MEI Opportunities
FLAS Fellowship: MEI is designated by the U.S. Department of Education to award Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships.
Theodore de Bary Language Study Fellowship: MEI has created this fellowship for intensive undergraduate language study (Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, or Turkish) for non-US citizens to access language learning opportunities similar to those available through the FLAS.
Language Support: MEI offers a variety of opportunities for students to improve their language skills in Arabic, Hebrew, Kurdish, Persian, and Turkish through scholarships and fully funded language practice.
Conference Travel Grants: MEI has created a conference travel grant for doctoral candidates presenting papers at academic conferences.
