Applications for FLAS and Other Fellowships Open Now

Applications for Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship for AY 2017-18 and Summer 2017, International Travel Fellowship, and Summer Language Fellowships are now available online.

  • Summer and Academic Year Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) scholarships are open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents whose programs combine modern foreign language training with international or area studies. Deadline for both Summer and Academic Year Awards: Monday, February 27, 2017, 11:59 p.m.

  • The GSAS International Travel Fellowship provides funding for international travel necessary for the completion of the dissertation. Deadline: Friday, March 3, 2017, 11:59 p.m.

  • The Summer Language Fellowships for International Students support international PhD students in the humanities and social sciences who need to study a foreign language abroad during the summer. Deadline: Friday, March 3, 2017, 11:59 p.m.
